On December 6, 2009, a group of Guizhou activists planned to convene the Human Rights Symposium in Guiyang’s Qian Ling Park (黔灵公园), but participants, including one of the organizers Chen Xi (陈西) were stopped either in front of their homes or while on their way to the park, or taken away from the park by State Security police.
